Learning To Ride

Big smile and wave as he passes Christmas lights.

If you notice the red fingers it was so cold but he didn't want to stop.

Ryder's grandma Barbara got him this 4wheeler, and it is his new favorite toy. He has had it for the last month or two but has just started to have fun on it. He doesn't know how to push the button to make it go, or steer. So for the last while Austin has been walking along side it and holding down and steering him through grandma and grandpas house. It is very fun for him...and very tiring for dad. Last week Austin changed the wiring so that he we could flip a switch and the thing will just go until we turn it off. We still have to help him steer but it is more fun for both parties because he knows that we are not helping him go. The older he gets the more independent he wants to be and it has been both fun and challenging to let his independence grow. We can only imagine what he will discover from day to day and we are loving every minute of it. We cant wait to celebrate his 1st birthday in a month. In our eyes it marks the closing of the "baby" chapter and we are prepared to have our parenting skills put to the test as we try to figure out how to parent a toddler and he figures out how to manipulate adults.

Lucky

I just have to take a second to say how lucky I am. I have never been more happy then I am right now. I'm trying to hold on to my not so little baby as tight as a I can as he continues to grow into this silly little boy. He is quite the sneaky little fella and when he knows he is in trouble he either claps his hands or lifts them above his head to show you how big he is... he knows he is so cute, it makes telling him no almost impossible. He can now stand by himself and swing things in his hands, and his climbing obsession grows with every day. I can't tell you how many bumps and bruises he has on his head at any given time. His nickname around our house is DISTRUCTO! He is still a mommas boy but when daddy leaves in the morning he sometimes cries and I never see him move as fast as he does toward the door when daddy gets home, its our favorite part of the day! Chevy spends all day trying to stay away from Ryder and Ryder spends all day chasing Chevy, giggling, thinking that Chevy is playing with him.

Ryder's cruisin

Ryder is learning to WALK!!! We can't believe how fast this year has gone. Our baby is already almost nine months old and turning in to a silly little boy. I can't believe we are here already, I wish I could freeze time for just a little bit. Pretty soon I'll be chasing him everywhere... even more than I am already.

Ryder's latest adventures

Our family has been pretty busy the last little while, between our trips to St.George, all of us being sick and me trying to keep up with Ryder I have had no time to post anything so here are a few pictures of the last little bit Ryder's favorite thing lately is this train! He rides it, climbs on it and this week he has started pushing it around. I cant believe my little baby is starting to walk wile pushing something! He is getting soooo big.

Here is Ryder clapping his hands on his train.

We went to Circus Circus with my little nieces and Ryder got to ride a few of the smaller rides. We got on one of the rides and it went a little faster that we expected and he got a little scared and started trying to climb out so we had to have the lady stop the whole ride for him.

My two cute boys on one of our many outings at the park feeding the ducks.

You might not be able to see but we put what little hair Ryder has in a Mohawk. I cant wait until he really has enough hair to do it.

He is so freaking spoiled!!!
