Testing the blogspot waters.

Fathers Day weekend 2009

Ryder and daddy just taking a little nap. You can tell Ryder is Austins son they both hold their hands when they sleep and if I would have waited to take the picture Ryder's mouth would have dropped open ever so slightly just like daddy's.

On Fathers day the only thing Austin really wanted was to do all the fun things with Ryder he sometimes misses out on when he is a work. Ryder is getting so fun at story time, his interest grows by the day, he even helps turn pages now.

I love to watch my boys together. It puts a smile on my face to see how Ryder lights up when he looks at his daddy. There is definitely something special about the bond between a father an a son.

So for fathers day we decided to make a little art project for daddy and right as we got the green paint out I started to reconsider things a bit. So the finished product is at the top of the page. Ryder loved playing in the paint, he had it all over his hands, feet and everywhere in between and a week later we are still digging it out of his toenails.
To tie all of the black furniture and the green bedding together, where better to go then the lovely craft store.

Ryder loves to listen to daddy sing to him.

Out of the blue we had a very rare Vegas down poor so we took our little bug out to show him the rain and I couldn't help but take a picture when i saw how tight Ryder was holding on to Austins neck. After a few minutes his grip loosened and started to enjoy the rain splattering him on his face. Its so fun to see how his little brain soaks every new experience in.

I know this has nothing to do with Fathers Day, but this post is for everyone who thought chevy wouldn't be good around a baby. We knew chev would love Ryder. He lets him pull and chew on his ears without even making a peep. We have to constantly remind Ryder to be soft with chevy but I think this is the beginning of a long friendship.
