Labor Day and.....
So about a week ago we went on a hike in red rock canyon. The bug got to try out his new hiking backpack which he absolutely loved! We had a blast until Chevy almost got trampled by a freaking donkey (I guess they roam wild out there.)
For labor day weekend we went camping at Panguitch lake. When Austin suggested the idea I was a little bit nervous about how Ryder would handle being in the wilderness. Camping has always been one of our favorite activities and we were very glad Ryder loved it just as much. He was such a trooper the whole time, he was fascinated by the trees, fire and the water. He even tried to sneak some of my smore when I wasn't looking. It was so fun to see our little bug all bundled up for a change and he didn't seem to mind the cold at all, in fact I'm pretty sure he stayed warmer then anyone this trip. The only thing he didn't like was not being able to crawl and climb on everything which is his new favorite thing to do. Ryder and I are so lucky Austin is so handy he makes camping seem effortless. While we were in Panguitch we took Ryder to take flowers to his grandpa Kens grave. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful happy family, and I can't wait to spend many more vacations like this one with the two people who mean the world to me.

My birthday was about a week and a half ago. My mom took us to dinner and then we came back home for my favorite thing in the whole world CAKE! Ryder helped me blow out the candles:) My first birthday as a mom YAY! Austin had to work all day on my birthday but he still managed to make me feel like the most special woman in the world.
So Ryder had some new tricks he has been crawling a little bit here and there for about a month now but this week he took off. He has figured out how to get in to everything he isn't supposed to. My days are quite a bit more busy these days. Now that he crawls he also pull up and climbs on EVERYTHING including his crib. Its so fun to see him learn. Our seven month old little baby is quite the smarty pants, and through all of the climbing we have only experienced a handful of bonked heads.......so far!
