family update

Ryder has grown up so much over the last month or two.
He can now run at full speed without face planting it every three steps but that doesn't stop him from getting hurt ALL the time! He is such a boy, he loves to hang out with daddy and thinks its so cool when he lets him play with his tools and he cries whenever Austin leaves the house. He is such a little monkey and I find him climbing on everything!!! He loves to dance and has even started singing a little bit but he is VERY shy so I try to pretend I'm not watching him. He loves to do the actions to no more monkeys jumping on the bed but I think its his favorite because he likes to shake his finger no at people. He knows almost all of his body parts and loves to point to them and show you he knows it, you can tell he loves to be praised. He has mastered the stairs at the playground and no longer has to crawl up them although it still gives me a heart attack every time he does it. He is turning in to a little comedian. He loves to copy us and he consciously tries to make us laugh all day long. He can now climb on and off our bed without any help and thinks its hilarious to run to our room and climb on our freshly made bed with his dirty shoes. A big hug around the neck from my little man melts my heart. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!

We have been so busy lately it seems like we have hardly had time to breath but we did get to spend the day at this really cool park by our house and I'm pretty sure I have never seen Ryder have so much fun. Here are a few pictures from our little outing.

showing daddy where his eyebrow is. Funny that this is his favorite body part to point to right now

he thought it was so cool that he went down a big boy slide

oh this is my favorite feeling

silly boy!

about ten minutes after this he about broke his toe climbing on this

this is the motorcycle Austin used to ride when he was four! the people his family sold it to gave it to Austin the other day and Ryder thinks its so cool even if its thirty years old

family pics

It was so nice to have the whole family together for a while even though it was very short lived. It was so fun to see the kids play together and I only wish Ryder could have been a little less shy around everyone, but all in all it was a good trip. Here are some new family pictures I think they turned out great! Thanks Kass and Darren!

FISH

So while its been raining Austin hasn't been able to work which sucks but it has allowed us to spend some family time together which is always fun. We had to be a little creative usually when Austin has a day off we take Ryder on his bike or go to the park but since we had to be inside we thought we would go to see the fish since Ryder is mesmerized by them. He loved it, he couldn't stop saying hi to the fish and all of the people around him.

This is Ryder getting dressed to go see the fish, Its quite the task these days that consists of me chasing him around the house a few times before we can even begin the process.

I tried to keep his mouth off the glass but he snuck a kiss in while I was taking pictures. He is such a lover these days!

After the fish we went to eat at one of our favorite places California Pizza Kitchen. Ryder had so much fun. He sat in a booster seat next to daddy, which he thought was pretty cool. He is turning in to austins little shadow, its so cute to see how much he loves his daddy. The other day I came home from the gym and they were just sorting out some tools and Ryder couldn't get enough of it. He cries almost every time he thinks his daddy is leaving its so cute.

Ryders Birthday!

So I haven't been keeping up with the blog but Ryder turned one last week so I decided it was time. We had so much fun at his birthday party and we apreciate everyone who came to celebrate with us! Ryder is growing up so fast we can hardly keep up with him! He now not only walks but runs around the house. He has at least one goose egg on his head at all times and can't sit still for one min. He has figured out he can make us laugh and does so every chance he gets. He has started talking alot more and loves to tell me where everyones eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, head and toes are, its his favorite game chevy even gets included against his will. He trys to lift everything and grunts to us how tough he is. I can tell he is going to be a little austin because he copies him more and more and follows him from room to room. I could go on all day about all of the fun things he does but I stop at that. We are so thankful for our little family and can't imagine life anyother way. Here are some pictures from the big event for all of our friends and family that werent with us to enjoy his birthday.

we had to put this on here because it was our favorie part!

Learning To Ride

Big smile and wave as he passes Christmas lights.

If you notice the red fingers it was so cold but he didn't want to stop.

Ryder's grandma Barbara got him this 4wheeler, and it is his new favorite toy. He has had it for the last month or two but has just started to have fun on it. He doesn't know how to push the button to make it go, or steer. So for the last while Austin has been walking along side it and holding down and steering him through grandma and grandpas house. It is very fun for him...and very tiring for dad. Last week Austin changed the wiring so that he we could flip a switch and the thing will just go until we turn it off. We still have to help him steer but it is more fun for both parties because he knows that we are not helping him go. The older he gets the more independent he wants to be and it has been both fun and challenging to let his independence grow. We can only imagine what he will discover from day to day and we are loving every minute of it. We cant wait to celebrate his 1st birthday in a month. In our eyes it marks the closing of the "baby" chapter and we are prepared to have our parenting skills put to the test as we try to figure out how to parent a toddler and he figures out how to manipulate adults.

Lucky

I just have to take a second to say how lucky I am. I have never been more happy then I am right now. I'm trying to hold on to my not so little baby as tight as a I can as he continues to grow into this silly little boy. He is quite the sneaky little fella and when he knows he is in trouble he either claps his hands or lifts them above his head to show you how big he is... he knows he is so cute, it makes telling him no almost impossible. He can now stand by himself and swing things in his hands, and his climbing obsession grows with every day. I can't tell you how many bumps and bruises he has on his head at any given time. His nickname around our house is DISTRUCTO! He is still a mommas boy but when daddy leaves in the morning he sometimes cries and I never see him move as fast as he does toward the door when daddy gets home, its our favorite part of the day! Chevy spends all day trying to stay away from Ryder and Ryder spends all day chasing Chevy, giggling, thinking that Chevy is playing with him.
