Mr. Mechanic

The Bug- The mini Mechanic

These are just some funny pics of Austin and Ryder working on the bike. Ryder loves tools and will play with any he can get his hands on. Although they are covered in grease, they go strait in his mouth, he loves it so we let him.

Labor Day and.....

So about a week ago we went on a hike in red rock canyon. The bug got to try out his new hiking backpack which he absolutely loved! We had a blast until Chevy almost got trampled by a freaking donkey (I guess they roam wild out there.)
For labor day weekend we went camping at Panguitch lake. When Austin suggested the idea I was a little bit nervous about how Ryder would handle being in the wilderness. Camping has always been one of our favorite activities and we were very glad Ryder loved it just as much. He was such a trooper the whole time, he was fascinated by the trees, fire and the water. He even tried to sneak some of my smore when I wasn't looking. It was so fun to see our little bug all bundled up for a change and he didn't seem to mind the cold at all, in fact I'm pretty sure he stayed warmer then anyone this trip. The only thing he didn't like was not being able to crawl and climb on everything which is his new favorite thing to do. Ryder and I are so lucky Austin is so handy he makes camping seem effortless. While we were in Panguitch we took Ryder to take flowers to his grandpa Kens grave. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful happy family, and I can't wait to spend many more vacations like this one with the two people who mean the world to me.

My birthday was about a week and a half ago. My mom took us to dinner and then we came back home for my favorite thing in the whole world CAKE! Ryder helped me blow out the candles:) My first birthday as a mom YAY! Austin had to work all day on my birthday but he still managed to make me feel like the most special woman in the world.

So Ryder had some new tricks he has been crawling a little bit here and there for about a month now but this week he took off. He has figured out how to get in to everything he isn't supposed to. My days are quite a bit more busy these days. Now that he crawls he also pull up and climbs on EVERYTHING including his crib. Its so fun to see him learn. Our seven month old little baby is quite the smarty pants, and through all of the climbing we have only experienced a handful of bonked heads.......so far!

These are just a bunch of random pictures of our cute little bug being the center of attention like always. Can you believe how light his hair is!

Ryder loves to see grandma Annelies, Fay and Grandpa Ronnie when the come to town.

SUNSET PARK

Ryder is getting so big and every day is more fun then the last. His personality is really starting to come alive! This weekend Aunt Rach came to visit and he seemed to be showing off for her. It was so cute to see him with her. My sister and I are so lucky to have each other and on weeks when I get to spend time with her I realise just how much I miss having my best friend around. We spent a whole day while she was here shopping for my birthday, something Rachel does better then anyone I know :), and Austin and Ryder followed us around where ever we wanted with out even one complaint. While Rach was here there was a day with perfect weather, something that is very rare in Vegas in the summer and we took advantage of it and went to sunset park to feed the ducks. This is one of Ryder's favorite activities lately. The geese there are for the most part really friendly and eat cereal right out of your hands. It might have something to do with the fact that when Ryder gets excited he honks like a goose.

Ryders first word!

So Ryder has been babbling for a while now but he is starting to say things that sound some what like the English language. So far he says maaam and no!

A Whole Lot of Random........

Trip to the Park.

It seems like everyday Ryder gets that much more interested to do new things and alot of the time needs to get out of our house at least one time a day so all of us stay sane. We have this new park by our house that we love to take him and chevy to. He loves the slides, but loves just sitting under a tree with us the most.

Good Morning Daddy:)
So Ryders new thing is he wakes up super super early, but doesn't need any ones attention. just sits up in bed and hangs out. I leave to work between 4 and 5 and I am often finding him this way when I go to brush my teeth before I'm out the door. He is happy as can be, so its good he doesn't wake up and cry but he kicks and hits like a ufc fighter the whole time he's awake.

Pool Time

This chicken is such a water baby. loves the pool and his baths. When we took him to the pool the water was so cold it wasn't even funny, so we didn't know how he'd do. but he loved it and didn't care at all about the temp.

Let the Crawling Begin

OK so he isn't crawling yet. its more of a get to my knees and bounce type of deal but he tries to move legs and arms it's just a little off right now. Check back in two to thee weeks and he'll be going.

Night out

It was Kari's B-day this last weekend and so some friends made it down for a night on the town. everyone did the Vegas thing, dinner party, clubs, gambling. we made it through dinner and rushed home to our boy. we started missing him before we walked out of grandma Barbs house. but we had alot of fun and ate at the best place. Del Frisco's is what i think it was called.

you think I got this name by mistake?

So we have had this outfit since before he was born, patiently waiting for him to fit into it and he looks just as cute as we imagined he would wearing it!

So we have tried every chair we could think of to keep the mess under control wile Ryder eats. We thought this chair would do the trick but he is just as crazy and into everything as he is in every other chair. Its so funny to watch him eat he is so eager to help pull the spoon in and move his mouth toward his food that he ends up with most of it under his double chin, but oh well boys this cute are allowed to be messy eaters.

We love when grandma comes to visit, even when its only over night.

This is what happens when daddy is in control of Ryder's outfits.
You cant really see his belt but although he is six months old we are still trying to hold up his three month shorts so daddy got creative like always and tied his skull bandanna through his belt loops. I'm sure many of you already know this but Austin isn't all that into fashion. You could put anything on either one of my boys and they would still look handsome.

Ryder's first time on his rocking bug. He was a little off balance at first but as you can tell by the picture above he became comfortable very quickly.

You think I got this name by mistake?
We thought Ryder would be timid around Austin's dirt bike but to our surprise he loved the sound of it. He love sitting 0n it even more.

Ryder grabbed on to the handle bars like a pro and was very interested in the vibrations. He was letting us know just how excited he was in this picture. Austin interpreted his excitement as a request for his own bike. He is a natural :)

Fourth of July 2009

Getting ready to go swimming!
Splashing around in my very own pool.

Yeah he can sit by himself but I just couldn't let go.

One of the few pictures without Ryder in it since he was born.

We couldn't leave Chev out of the celebrations.

Blowing bubbles like a big boy!

Playing games with grandma

Ryder's new favorite thing to do, moms least favorite!

Playing dance dance revolution on dads shoulders.

Ryder showing all of us up.

Flag cake. YUMMY

Grandma Jana singing Ryder his favorite song.

Ryder watching sparklers

Ryder always makes this face at us so we decided we would make it too.

Every holiday since Ryder has been born seems to be a lot more fun. He was lucky enough to be surrounded by five grandparents who love and spoil the shit out of him. We are so blessed to have such a great family and to be able to blend both mine and Austins families together so effortlessly. We didn't do anything to spectacular for the 4Th but it was just fun to have our family together for games, dinner and fireworks. Ryder loved the sparklers and was even a trooper and stayed up past his bed time to watch the big fireworks at red rock, and of course even on the fourth of July Ryder gets presents. He loves his new pool! The only thing that could have made this weekend more fun would have been grandpa Ronnie, Aunt Rach, Aunt Kass and the kids. We miss you guys.
